It’s hard to believe September is already here and we have been in school for over two weeks. We’ve had an enjoyable and busy start to the school year. Open House for the elementary school was a great success, we had a wonderful turnout. I would like to thank everyone who came out to meet their child’s teacher and visit their classrooms. The PTO did a wonderful job with the Back to School Carnival. I would like to put out a big thank you to all of the parents that made the carnival a success!
The first grade will host a Grandparents Day program at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5th in the district cafeteria. Lifetouch will be here on Wednesday, September 10th to take individual school pictures.

During the month of September we will be beginning our Student of the Month Program at the elementary school for the 2014-2015 school year and the 4th grade classes will be kicking off their 5-4-3-2-1 program sponsored by the YMCA. I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the school year as much as I am.
