Let me introduce myself, my name is Steve Phillips and I am the new Superintendent at Mulberry Grove School District # 1. I am very excited to be a part of the Mulberry Grove family and I’ve heard many great things about the faculty, staff and students here. From what I have seen so far, Mulberry Grove looks like a great school with many great attributes.

I’m looking forward to the school year starting so the students are back. The school hallways seem a little odd when the students aren’t in them. I got into education so I could be around the students, and I am looking forward to interacting with them in several different areas. Mulberry Grove School is here to serve the students and give them the best education possible. I hope students understand that when they graduate from Mulberry Grove that they can do anything they want. College, workplace and military are all important areas and I want the students to feel comfortable being able to do any of those.

I want us all to work together to provide the students of Mulberry Grove with a great education. Providing that education is a team effort. That team consist of teachers, staff, students, parents and community members. Each area is vitally important to the educational process. It has been said that team stands for Together Everyone Achieves More. As a former coach, I believe this is a very true statement. A team divided is a team that is going nowhere, but a team that is altogether as one, can achieve great things. That’s what I’m looking for at Mulberry Grove.

I believe this is an exciting time to be an Ace or an Eagle and as we move forward I foresee a great school year ahead. Please bear with me as I try to learn the names and faces of everyone involved at Mulberry Grove. It might take me a little while to remember who you are, but rest assured I will eventually get to know you. I also want to thank you ahead of time for your support and teamwork to help make Mulberry Grove School a school on the rise. I’m looking forward to a great year!
