For bus transportation Friday, please be patient as the times SHOULD be close to the same as last year. However, being the first day, combined with the fact that we have new bus personnel, it may be earlier or later. Bottom line, please be ready when the bus shows up. We are delighted to have HS Fall baseball back at MG this fall!! Practice starts Monday, August 10th from 5-7 PM with a parent meeting starting at 5. HS Volleyball will be from 3-5 PM in the high school gym. All athletes need to have a current physical (within a year) on file to participate in MG Athletics.
Also, for the mandatory August 11th JH/HS Meeting with parents (and athletes), please be reminded that this will start at 5:00 PM and will be in the high school gym ahead of the Meet the Teacher Night which will be from 6-7 PM. We want to recognize some local talent who competed and did very well at the All-Around Cowgirl Challenge at Von Holten Ranch (Mora, MO). Each individual competed in one mounted event and one non-horse event. Allyse (pictured 4th from the left) got 5th in pellet rifle shooting and 9th in barrel racing. Mrs. Blakenship got 6th in trailer backing. Lynette (second from the left) got 9th in the obstacle course and Allison (first on the left) placed 9th in mounted archery.

🏐Open gyms for high school volleyball will begin July 27-30 from 3-5 and that the season/mandatory practices begin August 10th. Athletes must have current sports physical on record. 🏐

For those who are being transported to elementary (incoming 1st-5th Grade) summer camp, please have your student ready no later than 7:10 AM beginning Monday. Tomorrow (Friday, July 24th) is school registration from 10am-6pm in the cafeteria. You may also pick up your JH/HS yearbook at that time. We do have very limited extras as well.

JH Softball (Grades 5th-8th) practice begins Monday, July 27th and will run from 5-7 PM for the next 2 weeks. There will be a parent meeting prior to the first practice Monday as well.
JH Baseball (Grades 5th-8th) "open fields" begins Monday, July 27th and will run from 4-6 PM.
Participants will need a physical or date in which they have scheduled a physical in order to participate. If you are not sure when they had their last physical, you can check with the nurse tomorrow (Friday July 24th) during registration.

We are excited to remind you that next week begins our summer camp for students who in 25-26 completed Kindergraten - 4th Grade. MGHS Athletes and families playing HS Girls Basketball and HS Spring Baseball at Ramsey for the 26-27 season:
Mandatory Athlete/Parent Meeting on Monday, July 27 at 6:45pm in the HS gym at Ramsey. All athletes and their parents are required to attend this meeting for the 26-27 school year. You only need to attend one meeting to fulfill this requirement. We will also be collecting physicals and sports fees ($40) on this date.

Last spring we only had 7 sign up which is not enough for a team. We would like to see that number increase to 10 so that we can have a team!! HS Fall Baseball (Incoming Freshman-Seniors) 2026: Since we have enough players to play fall baseball, we will have a MG team and will not co-op with Ramsey . We will co-op with Ramsey in the spring. We are excited about this and will be in touch soon with details. Mr. Nathan Kreup will be leading this program. Please email Mr. Allen (rallen@mgschools.com) to confirm that you will be playing. When I called everyone this summer, we had 11 students who are committed!
