MGES Student shout-outs!!! As an early Christmas gift to himself, Mr. Allen decided to select all of the students nominated for this weekly award! 🎄🎅🏻We have so many students doing amazing things that is is so hard to pick. Ms. Wiegands class had a snow day today. They made a snow man "blow up" and made snow!! 🥶☃️❄️💯FUN!!

Mulberry Grove will be joining the Vandalia Holiday tournament this year. We are excited to showcase our skills and look forward to playing some great teams that will better improve us for the end of the season. Please come out and support us and cheer us on to victory. The St. Elmo Tourney kicks off today. Mulberry Grove will be in action tomorrow, Wednesday December 18th at 6:15pm against Windsor/Stew-Stras. Please see the attached schedule and come on out to support the Mulberry Grove Aces!

Student shout out!! This is a weekly reward to amazing students who are SOARING at MGES! Congrats to Ms. Graci Bone! She was nominated by Mrs. Mollett, because "she stacked all of her chairs in her room after school which was a BIG help. She did this without being asked." Way to go Graci!! We are all so proud of you!!

MGES families: By now you should have received information in regards to our Secret Santa shop that runs next week from Monday-Thursday (12/16-12/19). Please send the money that you want them to spend on family or friends if you haven't already. You should have also received an envelope that allows you to provide a list of the individuals you would like your child(ren) to buy for and how much you want them to spend on each person. This information was sent last week, but we wanted to make sure that you all received it. We are excited to see our students experience the joy of choosing a special gift for those on the list. Proceeds will go to our PTO. Merry Christmas!

The MGES Christmas program will be THIS Wednesday, December 11th, @ 5:30 PM . It will be in the High School gym. Please make sure your student(s) are here no later than 5:15. Student attire should be nice and Christmas colors are preferred. We can't wait to see you all there to celebrate Christmas!

Jr High Volleyball announcement

To avoid any possible confusion for MGES parents, please note that on 12/11 there are no Pre-K classes. On 12/11, we will have our Christmas program that will begin at 5:30 PM in the high school gym. Also, on 12/13 there are no Pre-K classes, as it is a 1/2 day of attendance (11:50 AM dismissal) for grades K-5.

Parents: Today our teachers are sending home the E-Learning packets for you to have in the event of inclement weather. I believe that you will find a realistic workload which will still allow our students to be able to go out have fun in the snow. Please put these in a secure spot so that you may pull them out if/ when needed. Thanks!

The 22nd annual FNB community bank Turkey Tourney has come to close for the 2024 basketball season. First, thank you to our generous host the FNB community bank for partnering with us to make it another successful tournament. Also, thank you to all the parents, fans, coaches, players, cheerleaders, bus drivers, administration, and workers. Without you, this would never be possible. Today's matchup ended with the following: 7th place - Mt. Olive defeats Ramsey 54-45 5th place - St. Elmo/Brownstown defeats Lebanon 77-50 3rd place - South Central defeats Mulberry Grove 54-38 Championship - Father McGivney defeats Maryville Christian 49-43 The cheer competition saw some very skill teams that put on a great show with their tumbles, stunts, and builds but in the end Mulberry Grove would take second place being narrowly edged out for the championship by St. Elmo/Brownstown. The all tournament team had multiple ties that would lead us to have 11 members and 1 MVP. Making the cut for the all tourney team included: South Central MVP - Brody Markley Seth Bergmann Westin Neilson Father McGivney Chase Jansen David Carroll Mulberry Grove Jackson Icenogle Landon Sugg St. Elmo/Brownstown Lowell Wilhour Graidon Wilhour Maryville Christian Levi Gray Gavin Ambuehl Lebanon DeVaughn Ware And last but not least, the biggest tournament recognition was our new award gifted in honor of the late Jeff Koontz who left a legacy of doing what is right and showing great sportsmanship. The honor fell on the deserving shoulders of Hagan Henrichsmeyer from Mulberry Grove. We are so pleased with how everything went while hosting and we look forward to it each year for our small community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping show the love of basketball and being a part of our small town. See you next year!
